Located near the iconic Paul Kruger Gate in Elephant Point, Mavalanga Lodge required a complete transformation of its deteriorating outdoor deck. The original Rhinowood deck had cracked, lifted, and become unsafe, while the steel substructure was heavily rusted. Timeless Group was tasked with designing and installing a durable, visually stunning replacement suitable for the harsh Kruger environment.
The team removed the glass balustrades, replaced the failing substructure with CCA H4-treated timber, and installed 62 sqm of Sandstone composite decking from The Composite Company. Careful material calculation was essential due to the lodge’s remote location, and installation techniques had to accommodate extreme temperature fluctuations between day and night. The final result is a safe, stable, and luxurious deck overlooking the Sabie River—now a highlight for guests seeking a tranquil, immersive nature experience
